The written examination contains multiple choice and math questions. All exams are closed book and have a two-hour time limit. You will be given a formula sheet and we suggest the use of a calculator. An operator must score 70 or more points out of 100 to pass an exam. Go to > top.

The written exam is multiple choice. You will mark your answer by filling in circles (o) on a machine-readable score sheet. Exam topics include: law, general terms and information related to the duties and functions of a notary public, as outlined in the Notary Public License Law booklet available from the County Clerk’s Office or the Division of Licensing Services.

The examination is open-book. You can access examination information and a detailed list of references, what books are needed and which day of the exam for each category or specialty, as well as schools and bookstores, online at: http://www.myflorida.com/dbpr/servop/testing/ConstructionExamInformation.
