What type of employment can I get with an Associate of Applied Science in Disabilities Intervention Services?
Graduates of the Associate of Applied Science in Disabilities Intervention Services academic program are trained as paraprofessional to work as members of an education, special education or rehabilitation team under the direction of a professional to provide quality programs for people with disabilities. The areas of employment may be in early intervention, adult services (residential or vocational), or multidisciplinary as an instructional assistant, home trainer, respite provider, supported living specialist, supported employment specialist, job coach, transition assistant, resident home coordinator, or recreation program paraprofessional.
