What type of employees does Seed Savers Exchange have—contract-based or at-will?
None of Seed Savers Exchange’s employees have employment contracts, whether collectively or individually bargained. Rather, all employees of Seed Savers Exchange are employed at-will, including the Executive Director. Employment at-will is the presumed type of employment for non-government employees throughout the United States (except in Montana). To be employed at-will means that either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time and for any legal reason, with or without notice.
