What type of electromagnetic radiation can cause damage to cells?

That would be the Ultra Violet radiation. I am in a class where I had to read about this. I read about 3 types. There is an A B and C. I believe UV-A can cause sun burns but most are caused by UV-B. UV-C however is almost always responsible for many types of skin cancer. This is a more precise answer to your question. It actually gets into the DNA of your Cells and often messes it up. Causes cells to age faster and stuff like that. There is what would amount to about 3 millimeters of ozone, at sea level pressure that is, in the stratosphere. 99% of the UV is blocked by that alone. Very interesting I thought.
