What type of dog is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel?
The Cavalier breed is highly affectionate, and some have called the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ‘the ultimate lap dog’. Gentle and affectionate with a happy, sporting and fearless nature, the Cavalier is known as a wonderful companion. Indeed the breed was known as the “Comforter” or the “Spaniel Gentle” in the early days of its history. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels require a great deal of human companionship, and do not do well if left alone for long periods of time. Cavaliers, when properly trained, have wonderful manners and just make the best family pets! There are four color variations are found in the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed. Blenheim is a pearly white background with bright-red-chestnut markings.
