What type of de-icer should I use?

Our Submergible Pond De-Icer turns on automatically when the water temp reaches 35ºF to help keep water from reaching freezing temperatures. In large, deep ponds, the idea is to keep a small shallow area, preferably near a bank, above freezing temperatures. A floating unit will work well in this instance. Our Floating Pond De-Icer works in ponds up to 600 gallons, but can be used in much larger ponds if two units are utilized together.
