What type of currency do they use there?
The currency in Guatemala is the Quetzal, and the exchange rate is 7.5 quetzales per US dollar. What are the physical requirements to serve on a trip? Team members should be able to tolerate heat and humidity above 90 degrees and mountain altitudes above 8,000 feet. Team members should be able to walk long distances and travel by car for long distances at a time. Most of our physical tasks will either be in painting or construction with concrete and steel. Are there trips for people who want to serve but can’t do physical labor? Yes, not all trips are focused on construction efforts, and there are plenty of ways to serve in Guatemala without doing physical labor.
