What type of christmas presents/toys/gadgets are children wanting this year?
For an interview it would be good to say you love working with people and you have experience in retail or stocking. They want great customer service because they have some rude customers during the holidays. If you are a quick learner it is a plus because the sales are announced a day or two before during Christmas and the customers will sure know the sales price. I use to work for Toys R Us and the problem was not the kids, but the parents. They wanted everything discounted if the box was bent and if you would give them the exact same one in an undented box they still wanted a discount. Christmas was the worst time of the year having the parents ( not the kids) opening and trying out the toys and leaving them on the floor. Depending on kids ages it could be anything from the latest video games to Thomas the train and dinosaurs. I have 2 nephews who love dinosaurs, trains and spongebob.
