Bellevue will go crazy for berries this weekend as the city’s Strawberry Festival returns to Crossroads Park. The festival will feature entertainment on the King County Library System Main Stage, strawberry shortcake, historical displays and activities presented by the Eastside Heritage Center, and fresh produce from local farmers. There will be food for all tastes and over 70 vendor booths, from hand crafts to home improvement. The Family Fun Area will be abuzz all weekend long, with carnival games, inflatable bouncers, face painting, balloons, the Mini-Mountain rock-climbing wall, pedal cars and a big purple slide. In addition to the BECU Classic Auto Show today, STAR 101.5 will be on site for a kids My ID Card event. And, don’t forget the strawberry shortcake eating contests.
