What type of buggy will fit in my suzuki ignis?
I have a car with a very small boot (a Citroen C1) and in the end the only way I could find a buggy that I could guarantee will fit was to drive to a couple of major baby equipment retailers (Babies R Us and Mothercare) and ask them if I could try some of the display models in my car boot. Although plenty of buggies quote the sizes when folded up, stupidly this often doesn’t take into account the wheels! You also need to bare in mind that your car boot may not be perfectly rectangular – it might have curved bits or bits that stick out in to the luggage space etc. Because of this, just using a tape measure and the measurements quoted is not sufficient. Of the two shops I visited, Babies R Us were the most helpful. I particularly didn’t want an umbrella fold buggy, because they seem too flimsy to me, and Babies R Us had the best stock of flat-fold more robust framed buggies.
