What type of blade should be used on a radial arm saw?

0

Radial arm saws are designed to be pulled through the material being cut. This means that the blade rotates in the same direction as the direction of the cut. An incorrectly chosen blade will try to feed itself or ‘climb’ the material being cut. Blades with a zero or negative hook angle should be used. The recommended blade is a 60-tooth radial arm blade with a 5° negative rake angle & triple chip tooth grind. This blade will produce a fine cut & will not feed itself.
