The iPalm will accept most AA batteries including Alkaline, Nickel Cadmium, and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. The PV-DC3000-A comes with AA Alkaline batteries, while the PV-DC3010 comes with Rechargeable Ni-MH batteries and a charger.
