What type of assistance is available under the other needs grants (ONA) category?
This program is a joint effort between FEMA and the District to provide grants to those individuals or families who are not eligible for an SBA loan to assist with repair or replacement of personal property, including such things as clothing, appliances and furniture. In addition, some assistance may be available to help cover transportation, funeral, or medical/dental expenses. The District administers ONA; FEMA funds 75 percent of the cost.
