What type of assessment is used in a therapeutic boarding schools or barding schools?
Most consultants are familiar with a battery of assessments used in therapeutic school placement . We are familiar with the MMPI Adolescent, The WISC, Beck Depression Scale, The Wood-Cock Johnson III, just to name a few. These assessments are used by both educational cosultants and psychologist. This fee may vary with each consultant but generally a separate fee is is addesed in the contract or deferred to the school or program. This allows us to know your child and for us to know you better. Other educational testing or psychological testing may be requested by the consultant or school depending on the needs of the student and the family . Generally, most schools complete a full battery test at the time when the student enters or is placed in a school, depending on the type of school and the setting. Boarding schools have s separate testing for admission and some day schools have testing for admission.
