What type of assessment is used in a therapeutic boarding school?
Most consultants are familiar with a battery of assessments used in therapeutic school placement . We are familiar with the MMPI Adolescent. The Beck- Depression Scale, the Wood-Cock Johnson. Among many others, are used in both education and psychology. As we mentioned we do have a comprehensive assessment done either at the time of admission or during the placement. This fee is separate and not part of the fee for hiring a consultant. This allows us to know your child and for us to know you better. Other educational testing or psychological testing may be requested by the consultant depending on the needs of the student and the family . Generally, most schools complete a full battery assessment at the time when the student enters the program. Thank you for reviewing our FAQ.
