What type of appointment does a career intern receive?
We appoint individuals hired under this program to the excepted service under Schedule B authority found in 5 CFR 213.3202(o), for a period not to exceed 2 years. Initial appointments must be made to a position starting at the GS-5, 7, or 9 grade level.
