What type of animal is a sugar glider?
A sugar glider is an ADORABLE small marsupial. I had one and would only recommend them to someone who has a lot of time to devote to one. Here’s some info: They grow between 8″ and 16″ from the tip of their noise to the tip of their tail. They eat 35% fruit, 35% vegetables, and 30% source of protein. They should be kept in a room with the temp no less than 68 degrees and no more than 80 degrees. My glider only bit me a few time when he was pretty young and was still getting accustomed to me, never when he was an adult. If gliders get scared they can let off a skink odor but it only lasts a short time. Their cage should be cleaned daily and can stink if it’s not addressed. They make many different types of noises. They have a warning sound called crabbing, a cute chattering noise, and a barking noise that is probably the most annoying noise. Mine use to bark when I was sleeping and man there were time I wanted to shake the lil guy. They can live in captivity around 10-18 years with prop
