What type of accommodations do students have?
Students live in residence halls while on campus. Students have access to a lounge area, share central bathroom facilities and reside in dormitory rooms containing beds, desks, desk chairs, closet space, and dressers. Dorm rooms are air-conditioned. May scholars request a roommate? No, students will be assigned a roommate. Students are informed of their room assignment on the day of arrival. The Governors Scholars Program encourages students to meet and make new friends during the five-week residency, and students should know that they will have plenty of time each day to visit with friends during mealtimes, at structured social events, and during free time. What size beds are in the dorms? Typically the beds in the dorm rooms are long-twin beds. Long twin sheets are recommended. Do students have a curfew? Yes, there will be a 10:30 p.m. curfew on weeknights (Sunday-Thursday) and an 11:00 p.m. curfew on weekends. By curfew, all scholars must sign in with their RAs on their hall. Schola
