What Two Countries Make Up The Balkan Peninsula?
The Balkan Peninsula is an area of land in southeastern Europe, although by most definitions it can not be defined as comprising only two countries. Twelve nations, including six that are entirely within the peninsula, and one autonomous state, all make up part of the region. The Balkan mountain range, however, only exists within two countries and it is this that lends its name to the Balkan peninsula. These countries are Serbia and Bulgaria. I’d be very wary of saying that Serbia and Bulgaria equals the Balkan peninsula, mind.
