What trees drain the soil of water?

0

Oak Poplar Ash Elder are the trees that will absorb the most water from wet ground. I am a Surveyor for the RICS and one of the researches i conduct is about the trees that take water from soils as they can do serious damage to buildings because of the amount of water they take from sub soils and clay which makes the ground shrink and therefore makes certain buildings that are buit upon certain land structures to subside and crack.
