What trees are in the Daintree rainforest?
The Daintree Forest is a tropical forest in Queensland, Australia. The Daintree is an environment of rainforests and coastal beaches and mangrove swamps. It is mostly famous for its palm trees and species like frogs, lizards fish, turtles bandicoots wallabies and the rare striped possum. The Daintree is famous for its beautiful fan palms. Unquestionably, the most handsome of all palms, its huge, near-circular pleated fronds intensify the tropic jungle feel. However, the area supports a further fifteen varieties of palms, all endemic to Australia. They include black palm, oriana, and the wait-a-while climbing palm.
