What tree and woodland options are included in Glastir AWE and TE?
There are a number of tree and very small woodland prescriptions included in the All Wales Element, for example, protection of veteran trees, planting of trees to enhance streamside areas and links between existing areas of woodland. In the Targeted Element, for example, larger areas of woodland creation are included to deliver water quality and quantity improvements and for other climate change outcomes such as carbon capture. Prescriptions will be carefully developed to ensure that new woodland is of value to customers in a range of ways.
