What treatments are available from an NHS dentist?
All treatment that is clinically necessary to protect and keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy is available to you on the NHS. If you would like to have this treatment done privately you should inform the dentist. If you wish to have any cosmetic treatments, you should ask your dentist how much this would cost in addition to charges for NHS treatment. If you are willing to cover the cost of cosmetic treatment, it will be done as private treatment. Some complex treatments such as implants have limited availability on the NHS, only available within defined protocols.
