What training is offered to centres joining the FS pilot?
Training events will aim to provide information about the WJEC approach to Functional Skills qualifications, to outline the support offered through the pilot, and to review the draft specifications and sample assessment materials for English, Maths and ICT. In addition to these, there will be subject specific meetings for Functional English, Maths and ICT Levels 1 and 2 to review the specifications and sample assessment materials for each subject; to reflect on the FS examinations and exemplar responses; to offer guidance on preparing candidates for the assessment of the components of the courses.
