What training/education does New Mexico Works offer?
In addition to job training and placement, New Mexico Works participants receive help with a variety of skills that help them stay employed. Participants can take classes in parenting and money management, securing permanent housing, developing life skills, improving language skills and earning GED certification. New Mexico Works staff can also arrange for participants to enroll in alcohol and drug treatment programs, receive services for victims of domestic violence and provide community service opportunities. Supportive services such as child care and transportation are available.
