What training does a traditional naturopath have?
Naturopathic schools are four-year postgraduate schools with minimum admission requirements similar to those of conventional schools. The naturopathic program requires four years of graduate-level study in sciences, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, chemistry and other clinical sciences. In addition, naturopaths also receive intensive training in therapeutic nutrition, herbology, iridology, detoxification, botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, naturopathic manipulative therapy and lifestyle counseling.
