What training does a School Social Worker have?
School Social Workers hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work and are licensed by the State of Michigan. Social Workers maintain their licenses by accumulating 45 continuing education hours every three years. School Social Workers are trained in group/individual counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and special education procedures.
