What training CBO needs to provide?
New Jersey After 3 recommends that program partners factor in enough funding to conduct bi-weekly staff meetings and factor in professional development training during all of the Trenton Public Schools scheduled half days. New Jersey After 3 encourages all program partners to utilize half-days for professional development (i.e. budget for a full 180 days of wages so that you have the budget to pay staff for training on half-days or Saturdays). All staff must receive an orientation upon being hired and staff members that work at the program for at least 20% of the program operating hours must complete 8 hours of continuing staff development each year.
