What Training and Development Do Staff Receive?
It is a condition of employment that all care staff undergo training to NVQ level 2 in Direct Care and participate fully in all mandatory training. We try to ensure through our rigorous recruitment procedure that all staff employed have a range of experience and qualifications. We are aware and place great emphasis on the need for staff to compliment their NVQ’s with specialist training such as Positive Dementia Care and training associated with the Learning Disabilities Award Framework. Induction and Foundation Training meets the requirements of the new Common Induction Standards. We invest heavily in the training and development of our staff and this has been acknowledged by the retention of our Investor in People status. Service users and carers can be assured all staff undergo checks in line with the protection of vulnerable adults and Criminal Records Bureau.
