What toy store has Macys paired up with?
FAO Schwarz will open toy stores in nearly 700 Macy’s department stores over the next two years in a move that both stores hope will drive traffic in a tough economic environment. My favorite FAO Schwarz memory is when I was 5 years old and my uncle took me & my brother to the big FAO store in Manhattan. He told us that we could each choose any toy that we wanted. What a big decision that was! I still remember the toy I chose as if it were yesterday. This was 35 years ago, so bear that in mind…I chose a stuffed panda bear that was about 18 inches tall. The arms, legs and head were jointed to that they bent and moved. The face was unlike any I had ever seen on a stuffed animal before. The eyes looked real and the nose was a molded black plastic that looked like a real nose. I loved that bear! I don’t know what my brother selected, but that was the best gift ever. http://www.sf
