What town does the Loudoun County Fair take place in?
For the past 73 years the Loudoun County Fair has offered a little something for everyone-from demolition derbies and rodeo antics to 4-H exhibits and classic country food-and this, the fair’s 74th year, is no different. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 26, with the Miss Loudoun Fair Pageant and the amusing mule jumping contest and pig scramble. The real action, however, begins Monday evening with the ever-popular demolition derby. At 8 p.m. organizers Stoney Roberts Demolition Derbies will ready participants for the cringe inducing smashing and crashing that must accompany any good demolition event. “I would definitely recommend coming for the demolition derby-that’s what everyone comes for. It’s probably the most fun thing that happens all week,” Megan Virts, the Loudoun County Fair 4-H youth chair, said.
