Festivities begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 26, with the Miss Loudoun Fair Pageant and the amusing mule jumping contest and pig scramble. The real action, however, begins Monday evening with the ever-popular demolition derby. At 8 p.m. organizers Stoney Roberts Demolition Derbies will ready participants for the cringe inducing smashing and crashing that must accompany any good demolition event. “I would definitely recommend coming for the demolition derby-that’s what everyone comes for. It’s probably the most fun thing that happens all week,” Megan Virts, the Loudoun County Fair 4-H youth chair, said.
