What topics are discussed during the dinner seminars and extended sessions?
Topics and resource persons vary from year to year depending on fellows interests and unique needs. However since policy is driven by dollars and population we have regularly heard from Tom Gillaspy, state demographer; Dan Salomone, now Minnesota deputy commissioner of revenue and formerly head of the Minnesota Taxpayers Association; and Bill Marx, chief fiscal analyst of the Minnesota House and Mark Misukanis, now with the Minnesota Higher Education Office. Higher education policy has been discussed with David Laird, MN Private College Council; James McCormick, chancellor of MNSCU; Donna Peterson, Sandra Gardebring, Steve Yussen, Nan Skelton, John Brandl, Michael Paige, Darlene Bailey and others from the University of Minnesota.
