Writer’s Café is programmed with the popular open source cross-platform GUI toolkit, wxWidgets, created in 1992 by Anthemion Software director, Julian Smart. Dialogs are edited with Anthemion’s DialogBlocks. wxWidgets and DialogBlocks are being used by organisations large and small all over the world, the more exotic applications including space telescope control, science at the South Pole, genetic research, Formula One racing, and hunting for extra-terrestrial life.
