Northern Illinois University was locked down today on Friday, after a Student was reportedly shot and wounded reports the NIU website. The NIU website informed in the early hours of Friday morning around 4:29 AM that the Campus was locked down due to the bizarre incident and also informed that the suspect was caught and is under custody now.But the authorities opened the campus again to its 24,000 students after Police gave them the “all clear” signal. The said incident occurred in the Stevenson Residence Hall when an NIU student was injured in the shooting. The injured student was taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital for treatment informed the school website.
