What to look for in sprinting spikes?

If you are serious you can get different spikes for different events, but most people only own one pair of spikes. The hurdles are a sprint race so you can use the same pair for the 100 and the hurdles. It won’t make that much difference to you, since you are not an elite runner. Get a good pair of sprint spikes. The length allowed on most tracks is either 1/4 or 1/8 inch. Do not use longer spikes even if the track does not restrict the length of spikes. Long spikes hurt your speed.
