What to Expect When Passing a Kidney Stone
Your pains will progressively get lower as the stone passes through your ureters, bladder, and urethra. Depending on how big it is, you should be able to see something…maybe just gravel (looks like sand). If the stone is calcium oxelate, it will be greyish/whitish in color. The intense pain will stop after you pass it, but you might feel sore and bruised. Drink lots of fluids and that will help move it along. Good luck….I’ve passed multiple stones at different times, and had four lithotripsies on stones that would not pass cause they were too large. I feel your pain.
