What to do with my 3 week old son?
He sounds colicky….. 1. As the other person said – Use Dr. Browns bottles. They work like a charm. 2. What kind of formula are you on? My story – I was giving my son regular Enfamil LIPIL – he was doing the same thing your baby was but from 10 PM – 2 AM. Nothing I did helped him. So I found out but changing his formula that he was allergic to cows milk. It was cramping his tummy at night and that is why he was crying out (red face, arching his back, crying for a few hours straight, gas, etc). So I put him on Soy – he threw that up. So I had to put him on Nutramigen and he is great now. Try changing formula to a gentle formula. It will take approx. 3 days for the old milk to leave his system and new milk to get in. So you will have to try for a few days… 3. Acid Reflux – my son had this too. His esophagus was burning when he lays flat from the reflux. So my doc put him on Zantac.
