What to do about an incompetent teacher?
Speak to your year teacher, and inform him/her of this problem. Take a few well meaning classmates with you to confirm your complaint. Explain that it is not his personality but the fact that YOUR future is being undermined by his unconventional teaching methods. Explain the facts and do not accept any fobbing off, as teachers will inherently close ranks at times. If you don’t get the response you require and NEED, then your next trip is to the Head teacher. IT’S VITAL THAT YOU SORT THIS NOW…. My daughter was in the same position and the nasty abrupt teacher was spoken to by myself, and my wife. He acknowledged that his ways were different, but was adamant that he would continue as per normal. I then spoke to the head teacher and informed his of the problem and the drop in marks by ALL the class, due to his unconventional method, and assured that if he was not pulled into the normal mode of teaching, I would make a written FORMAL complaint.
