You need to boost her immune system. There is no vaccine to keep her from getting pneumonia. There is a pneumonia vaccine made for older adults but it isn’t very effective and I don’t think it’s approved for 5-year-olds. Try keeping her on immune boosters like probiotics, vitamin C and garlic oil and a good multivitamin and make sure she gets lots of sunlight or supplements with Vitamin D. The probiotics are probably the most important – if she has had recurrent pneumonia she’s probably had several rounds of antibiotics. They kill all the good bacteria in your gut too and don’t leave you with many defenses once the antibiotics wear off, so she will probably keep getting sick until her good gut flora is restored.
