What time periods and cultures does the S.C.A. typically concentrate on?
The S.C.A. generally prefers its members to create personas for themselves based within the years of 600 A.D. and 1600 A.D. Likewise it is fairly good advice to portray a Western European persona, but we do have members who prefer other cultures, such as Asian, Russian, Middle Eastern (popular with members who practice dancing), or Roman for example. When in doubt, try talking to other established members, (especially our helpful Herald) about what you’re considering and you’ll be sure to receive plenty of advice on getting the specific details nailed down. Also remember that you aren’t technically restricted to only one persona, and aren’t forbidden to change your mind either.
