What time commitments are involved with Green Globe?
A. Depending on the size and general organisation of the participant company, this can take anywhere from a day to several months. To give a general snapshot: Registration takes typically 1-3 days. You can register online, or by filling out a form. Completing the Benchmarking process can take one day or up to a month depending on how much data (e.g. power bills) is readily available, and if this data is already totaled for a 12 month period. To help make this a smooth process, a free tool is available to assist participants in collecting this data. Certification takes place after Benchmarking is complete. A company electing to move up to Certification completes an Environmental Management System (EMS) for their business and also has an external audit performed on their operation.
