What three colours make up the irish flag?
The Irish flag is three sections–green, white and orange. The green represents a Gaelic tradition while the orange represents the supporters of William of Orange. The white in the center signifies a lasting truce between the ‘Green’ and the ‘Orange’. Or, the green portion of the flag was designed to represent the majority Catholic residents of the island, the orange side being the minority Protestant and the white middle part being peace and harmony between them.
