What they call a person wth different personalities but they don have multi personality disorder?

I have a slight change of personality as I am faced with different situations and different types of people. I do not think it is anything psychotic or neurotic, just natural. My mom does this too, and it’s hilarious to watch her. She’ll be on the phone speaking in this sweet voice, “Oh thanks for calling dear, I’ll be thinking of you, I love you….” and then the second she hangs up, her voice changes and she goes, “AAAGGHHH I can never get her off the phone!!!!” It’s so funny. But of course, I become more “childlike” when I am talking to little children. That is natural. And that is an obvious example of changing your personality. But it happens even in less obvious situations. For example, the difference between the way I act in front of one of my happy-go-lucky friends, and one of my more serious friends. Sometimes I feel dishonest about it. But I don’t know how to change it. They say we become who we think others think we are.
