What thesis topic would you suggest for a Computer Science student whose major is database development and security?
Well easy.. To combine the two: efficient decentralised management and distribution of security assessment information. What you want is to create or envision a decentralised mechanism for distributing security (and of course breach) information throughout an organisation, or ideally across multiple organisations. Do this with integrity. It’s actually not very hard per se, and there are precedents here and there which you can look at and which can be improved upon. How easy this is to transform into a thesis with sufficient originality is something you will be better capable of judging than I. But rest assured that there is a demand and there are developments to be made in this field. I don’t mind helping you here and there on this subject, although it’s not my field specifically.
