What the hell is up with Craigslist & Gumtree?!
I am completely exasperated with Craigslist and Gumtree. I have used them in the past to buy and sell all sorts of things. Over the last couple years, when I have put in an ad selling something or especially looking for a flat as i’m doing now, I am inundated with Scammer emails, asking me to send them money via western union in severly broken english. They all want your info in advance, passport #s, Mobile #s, etc etc! Hell no! I remember when Craigslist and Gumtree were excellent local sites to find what you needed. I would say 90% of the responses I recieved were scams! We are desperatly looking for a flat or a room and it is so disheartening and frustrating to have these bastards waste our time! I have found other sites to look at and advertise on that are better, But I think Craigslist and Gumtree have passed their prime and need to be scrapped! Time for something new! Just a rant…Grrrrrrrrr!
