I had been a huge fan of the band Korn for the better part of two years back in 1996. I had been to nearly ten of their live performances by that time. I knew almost every word to every song on the bands debut record. To put it bluntly, to that point I really had not heard a band like Korn. Despite all the hardcore and punk music I was listening to at the time, there was just something about Korns sound that was inherently raw, raucous and out there, that I just did not hear in any other band. The music on their first album was just so aggressive, that it was nothing short of listenable.
