What the Heck Does Jon Davis Say in “Twist” Anyway?
I had been a huge fan of the band Korn for the better part of two years back in 1996. I had been to nearly ten of their live performances by that time. I knew almost every word to every song on the bands debut record. To put it bluntly, to that point I really had not heard a band like Korn. Despite all the hardcore and punk music I was listening to at the time, there was just something about Korns sound that was inherently raw, raucous and out there, that I just did not hear in any other band. The music on their first album was just so aggressive, that it was nothing short of listenable. Needless to say, the anticipation I was feeling for the release of the bands second release was pretty great. I still recall the day the record was released. I ran out during my lunch hour to buy it.
