What The Function Of The Hypothalamus In The Endocrine System?
The Hypothalamus connects the Endocrine system with the autonmic nervous system (ANS). It is responsible primarily for regulating the hormones secreted by the Pituitary gland in order to maintain what might be termed the body’s ‘status quo’. These functions include temperature, hunger, thirst and also the primitive emotional responses such as anger and fear.
