the disavantages of the golden gate bridge is thst there are ocean currents below and very high and strong winds up to 60-miles-per hour as well as the persistently foggy wheather. many believed that the bridge wouldn’t be able to build due to these natural elements and the fact that it went under construction during the great depression, so money was a big factor because there really wasn’t any lots. so people disagreed with builting the bridge but joseph Barmann Strauss the great engineer and architecter,was convinced that he could build this great bridge for even less than 100 million he could do it for 25-30 million, and that was what he did he build the golden gate bridge spanning 2742.9 meters and reaching the height of 750 feet in a period of 4 years. this bridge use to been known as the longest suspension bridge.
