What the best foods to feed a Laminitic horse?
Equilibrium works wonders. It’s rather expensive (about $70 for 20kg) but lasts atleast 9 and is completly worth it. My horse was very prone to laminitis and had very soft, wet feet, and after about 6 weeks of feeding him Equilibrium, his feet are rock hard (Farrier said they’re some of the best feet he’s ever seen) and it’s now been about 2 years and he hasn’t had laminitis since. Also, tipping peroxide (you can buy it from the chemist, about $10 a bottle) on your horse’s feet helps quite a bit too. Just pour it on the frog and the rest of the sole, hold it there for about 20 seconds (it should fizz up and you will see all the dirt clearing out) then rinse it with water. It doesn’t hurt at all so your horse should be fine.
