What tests available for down syndrome during pregnancy?
In some countries, women can now have a blood test to determine whether or not their child will have something like Down Syndrome. The BBC website states “Scientists at Stanford University say they have developed a safer blood test that can tell a women if her unborn baby has Downs syndrome. Current tests include amniocentesis, in which a needle is used to take a sample of fluid from the womb. This can cause some women to miscarry” So it is possible, but like anything these days, there are risks.
